Finished Forgiveness

GRACE THEOLOGY

For most of my life I thought the cross was where forgiveness started. Jesus started my forgiveness at the cross, sure, but then it was my job to make sure I was contritely confessing every sin from there on out in order to keep it. So, what, His blood was enough to begin it but not enough to complete it? His strained cry from Calvary that, “it is finished,” was just metaphoric? No. The cross finished our forgiveness in fullness. God repeatedly reminds us across multiple scriptures that ALL of our sins are forgiven. All means all. In Greek, Hebrew, and English, all means all. It is finished, you are forgiven, the cross was enough. (Read more about finished forgiveness in my book: https://a.co/d/c1oHnbL)
